Azadi Ka Mahotsav – India@75
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements.
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is an embodiment of all that is progressive about India’s socio-cultural, political and economic identity. The official journey of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” commences on 12th March, 2021 which starts a 75 week countdown to our 75th anniversary of Independence and will end post a year on 15th August, 2023.
As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, Ministry of Culture (MoC) is organising the following activities from Tehshil / Taluka level to National level.

Amrit Mahotsav at Balmer Lawrie
Sanitary napkins were distributed to the students of 3 primary schools (6th std. to 8th std.) at Saily village (Silvasa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli) on June 05, 2021 to raise awareness on health and hygiene as part of Amrit Mahotsav.
Sanitary napkins and Covid hygiene kits were also distributed to women of Paharpur, a slum near Kolkata
Balmer Lawrie carried out a tree plantation drive at various units and offices as part of Bharat ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate the 75 years of India's Independence.
